Auction winner wastes $3.5M for lunch with Warren Buffett

A deep-pocketed millionaire has won an auction to have lunch with billionaire Warren Buffett for the outrageous price of $3.5 million. The winner did not choose to reveal his or her name, perhaps simply not to be mocked by sites like this one for paying a princely sum for rubber chicken. Not so fast. Last year’s winner paid $2.6 million for the privilege, so maybe we can take this as a sign the economy is improving. We hope, for the winner’s sake, that whatever advice Buffett doles out is worth more than the helpful hints he dishes in his books, though they are considerably easier on the wallet.
